The monthly board pack for a Ghanaian MFI: ten slides that are actually true
What boards of microfinance and hire purchase companies should see each month — PAR, liquidity, concentration, collections cost, and audit exceptions — pulled from the core.

Boards do not need forty slides. They need a true PAR, a true cash position, the largest exposures, collections cost, exceptions, and a narrative of what management will do next month. If assembling that pack requires three exports and a heroic analyst, the institution is flying on lag. OrbitMFI's reports and BoG extracts are designed to be the pack's backbone.
The ten slides
Everything except the narrative should have a timestamp from the core. Arguments then happen about actions, not about whose Excel is newest.
- Disbursements and receipts versus plan.
- PAR 1/30/90 by product and branch.
- NPL and provision coverage.
- Liquidity and maturity gap.
- Top twenty exposures and related parties.
- Collections cost and promise-kept.
- Operational exceptions (unmatched MoMo, loans without schedules).
- Staff, audit, and conduct items.
- HP residuals and insurance lapses if applicable.
- Decisions requested this meeting.
Do not save bad news for the AGM
A board that only sees NPL at year end cannot govern. Monthly is the minimum. Weekly snapshots for PAR in a stressed book are better. Software makes that cheap; culture makes it happen.
