White-label the portal, not the ledger: branding that still passes an examination
How hire purchase companies and MFIs in Ghana should brand the client portal, SMS, and statements without breaking audit trails or dual control.

White-label is not a coat of paint on a generic loan app. It is your logo, colours, support number, and SMS sender on a ledger that remains attributable. If branding hides the audit trail or lets a cashier post as 'system', you have bought a brochure.
OrbitMFI tenants configure square logos, primary colours, and portal copy in the staff website module. Statements, the client portal, and login screens pick those up. The staff dual-control screens stay sober on purpose — they are for officers, not for Instagram.
What to brand
What not to brand away: user ids on postings, timestamps, and the difference between a teller and a webhook.
- Client portal and HP customer statements.
- Payment receipts and MoMo display names where the aggregator allows.
- Help and support numbers.
- Public marketing pages if you use the CMS.
SMS sender IDs and trust
Customers ignore messages from random numeric senders. Register a sender ID that matches the institution they know. Keep templates short and stop them when a receipt posts — branded spam is still spam.
Implementation note
Do branding in week one of a go-live, not week twelve. Officers demo the portal to customers; if it still says OrbitMFI in the wrong places, trust drops. Configure it, screenshot it, and move on to schedules.
